By using the FIT UAP (User Agent Profiling), the FIT MCS can differentiate between more than 3.500 devices with approx. 11.000 different user agents. The FIT UAP provides to each user agent, respectively device, more than 460 different attributes to generate resolution, color intensity, markup, music formats, java profiles, and several other features of a device.
To simplify the development of mobile websites, Sevenval has built an own markup with FIT ML (Markup Language), based on XML. FIT ML disposes of simple control structures and can be viewed in web browsers for testing purpose. The FIT ML processor transcodes FIT ML in the devices specific markup, considering the devices specific features. Source
